What does "cannot process this file" mean?

For a large-format poster, the print request form usually names the final printed size. The PDF also has its own page size. When those two numbers do not match, the service desk cannot confidently print the file at the requested size without changing scale or asking for a corrected export.

This checker handles that specific handoff problem: compare the size on the form with the page size shown by the exported PDF. It does not upload or inspect the file.

Common reasons a poster PDF gets sent back

  • The request form says one poster size, but the PDF page is another size.
  • The file was exported as letter size, a slide preview, or a scaled-down proof.
  • The width and height were entered in the opposite order from the PDF.
  • The requested poster size is outside the service desk's posted size range.
